He shoots, he scores!

Posted in shameless self promotion by Stephen Rees on February 1st, 2008

More own trumpet blowing. This morning I got the number #3 spot on the Morning Brew at Beyond Robson (thanks Shawn for the BOOSH) and my letter to the editor of the Strait got published - with another letter saying something along the same lines from Blair Petrie, a member of the East Vancouver Port Lands Working Group .

If you write a letter to Falcon himself, I doubt very much he actually reads it. I have noticed that the letters sent in reply seem to be boilerplate. I feel sorry for the civil servants who get lumbered with this chore. But I bet he reads his press clippings!

    Stephen:

I saw your letter in the Georgia Straight. However, I cannot find a copy of Stuart Ramsey’s trucking analysis anywhere on the web. Maybe Google doesn’t see everything after all? His analysis is not mentioned in Burnaby’s correspondence with the Gateway office and EAO either.

You also were in the Chilliwack Times last week: http://www.canada.com/chilliwacktimes/news/story.html?id=c4209d71-1ce7-482b-9cc0-b416668ea8c8

You may have got in the Abbotsford paper too. I wonder who will be next in the press, you or Kevin Falcon making another pre-announcement for announcing the location and technology of the Evergreen Line.

Thanks for that link: the story is identical to the one I found in the Abbotsford Mission times on the same date which also comes from the Asper stable, which I added to the meeting report I posted. It is common for both local newspaper groups to use the same content in more than one of their papers. What I find irritating as a blogger is that they do not necessarily reproduce the whole paper on line - even though it could be done a as bunch of links within a frame
