Thoughts about the relationships between transport and the urban area it serves

About

wordle of the blog from wordle.net

There is quite a bit about me on the side bar. You can follow me on twitter, facebook or Google+

I am the spokesperson for the Green Party of BC on Transportation and Planning.

But in the spirit of wanting to communicate more with the people who spend time here – and especially the bunch who comment (thank you so much!) – this page provides some links to other places I frequent on the web.

Me in 1956

I have  another blog on Blogger which is where I put  posts that are nothing whatever to do with transport or planning. There are a lot of my pictures on flickr. I will keep adding words to the pictures. I have noticed that most of the people who I list as contacts on flickr are those who write something underneath their pictures. Either they tell me something about the picture – or themselves, and I learn a lot that way. So I am trying to do more of that myself. Please consider joining flickr (it’s free) as you can then comment and select pictures as your “favourites” – this gets them noticed by more people as flickr ranks pictures by “interestingness”.

As way of broadening what you see on the internet StumbleUpon is unsurpassed - and of course there is a Stumble bog now too.

If you really want to know more you will have to send me an email

New commenters are currently subject to moderation before they appear. One persistent troll has been blocked. Akismet is also catching some non-spam messages: if your comment does not appear after a few hours, drop me an email and I will check it out.

I am retired but one of my pensions is paid in pounds sterling (£) which is sinking fast against the Canadian dollar. Since this blog is on wordpress.com I cannot use advertising – and would not want to anyway. But I am interested in writing or public speaking about the topics covered in this blog. I do a lot of that for free. I need to be paid for a greater percentage of that than I do now.
