No it isn’t acceptable.
Yes, it happens. A lot of little boys think that because they have anonymity they can do on line things they would be ashamed to do in public. And they are abetted by people who demand that freedom of speech be unrestricted. But all our rights and freedoms are limited. My freedom to wave my arms does not extend to punching you on the nose - or even swiping it accidentally without you having recourse. Just as racism, homophobia and religious bigotry are subject to control so should sexism. Action must be taken to limit the damage the bigots are causing. And for a start men who agree with this view need to speak out.
And when idly blog surfing I came across this
The ultimate point of this? That it is in the best interest of men, especially in the Middle East, to promote the equality of women under the law, and through education, and the changing of societal constrictions and misogynous taboos. It is in the best interest of everyone.
